Day 99 (pt 2) – Direct from the Polling Station

Not especially valuable news (now nearly stone cold) from the Polling Booth.

A Socialist Primary voter tells me that the ‘crowds’ waiting to vote were not dissimilar to those who turned out last Sunday. This despite the much milder weather. So, at at mid-morning in this very Républicains town, the idea of a massive Valls vote to help shore up Fillon’s position has not caught on. We will know the Socialist Primary result soon after 8pm CET tonight.

The Story So Far

Anyone wanting a broader understanding of the wide list of Presidential Runners and Riders – many of whom have already fallen and disappeared – should enjoy this piece. I first saw it in the ever-readable (especially for Things American) Medium.

Note that 2 months before Socialist Primary Day the name Hamon (always hitherto The Third Man) had not been identified by this acute observer as worthy of mention.
